Having beeen widowed I moved to Diseworth in 2007, when I met my now husband Bill (he and his family have lived here for 50+ years).

Spending most of my working life in various roles within the NHS I chose to leave in 2020 to spend more time with my family.

In the 17 years I have lived in Diseworth I have been an active member of the community, being part of the initial flood working group, helping out at the village show and school events, becoming neighbourhood watch coordinator three years ago and one of the Facebook admin's of our community page. This has enabled me to have the pleasure of getting to know many of the villagers.

I felt I wish to persue a more active role in supporting them in their wishes and aspirations for our community in what is becoming increasingly challenging times.

I hope that I can fulfill this aim in my role of parish councillor.
